Large Pineapple Tarts made using our traditional Malacca family kept recipe through the generations.
26 pieces per box. 6cm per tart. Total weight 700gm (with container).
Each tart is lovingly made in Singapore with intricate crisscross latticework and hand pinched 'kepit' at the sides, top with homemade pineapple jam. Tart has a delicious buttery flavour and crispy texture.
Fun facts: Did you know that in ole Peranakan days, the bride to be is selected based on her skills of tart making and shoe beading? As to make delectable intricate pineapple tarts requires a lot of patience and detailed work which is a prize virtue of a potential daughter in-law! I dare say all of us will probably fail if we were born in our forefathers era!
